Block & Company, Inc., Realtors Serves as the Exclusive Retail Broker for Parade Park Homes Redevelopment

Block & Company, Inc., Realtors, headquartered in Kansas City, MO, is honored to announce the groundbreaking of the $300M redevelopment of Parade Park Homes, one of the country's oldest Black-owned housing cooperatives.
The redevelopment will create almost
1,100 multifamily units, 200 of those reserved for low-income families, and 80 of those reserved for senior housing. Additionally, the project will bring 27 acres of open green space, and 15,000 SF of community-centered commercial space. Block & Company is honored to partner with site developers
Twelfth Street Heritage Development Corp. and
Flaherty & Collins Properties, serving as the exclusive retail broker of the proposed multifamily mixed-use buildings.
Many city leaders have come together to make this project a reality. Some partners include the City of Kansas City, MO, Mayor Quinton Lucas, Congressman Emanuel Cleaver ll, 3rd District-at-Large Councilwoman Dr. Melissa Patterson Hazley, City Manager Mario Vasquez, and more.

This project marks the largest development in East Kansas City's history. At the groundbreaking on Friday, October 24, 3rd District-at-Large Councilwoman Dr. Melissa Patterson Hazley said this project is restoration, renewal, and a promise to the community.
